Flake Zinc Powder: Flake zinc powder is a silvery-gray flaky powder with metallic zinc as its main component. Its molecular formula is Zn, density is 7.14 g/cm³, melting point is 419°C, and it conforms to ASTM D520-00 and RoHS standards. It is insoluble in water but soluble in acids and alkalis, exhibiting strong reducing properties. It is stable in dry air but easily agglomerates in humid air, forming basic zinc carbonate that coats the particle surface.

Flake zinc powder has a flaky structure, a large aspect ratio (30-100), and is easy to spread. Compared to spherical zinc powder, it has stronger covering power, floating power, shielding power, and metallic luster. The amount of zinc powder used in coating formulation is significantly less than that of spherical zinc powder.
